Mount St. Mary’s University Director of Athletics Lynne P. Robinson has announced the hiring of five-time National Champion Lindsey Munday as the seventh women’s lacrosse head coach in program history. "We’re excited to welcome Coach Lindsey Munday to the Mount," said President Dr. Thomas Powell. "She brings a national presence along with great talent and experience and exemplifies the formation of character we try and instill in our athletes. I am confident this dynamic coach will take us to the next level and bring home a national championship." Munday comes to the Mount after spending the last eight years at Northwestern. She won two National Championships as a player and three as an assistant coach.
Monmouth University’s women’s lacrosse team was recently honored by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA) for its academic achievements. "I am so proud of our team for their academic achievements and this IWLCA honor," said MU head coach Denise Wescott. "Our players work hard academically and have made a serious commitment to strive for excellence in the classroom. Our compliance and services for student-athletes office go above and beyond to help our players succeed as students, and expose them to many aspects of education while working on career planning. I am proud of this athletic department and their efforts to push our players to be their best, to excel in the classroom as well as on the field."
